More selfies in elevators wearing all black and Farrah. My days have gotten longer lately, not complaining, but I do miss my sleep-in-days-off-Fridays-followed-by-Pinterest-surfing-tanning-at-washington-square-park-afternoons-beer-drinking-patios. But again, I'm not complaining. I've been working with Crescala, a fashion development company. The concept is rather brilliant I have to say. I'm learning lots about the ins and outs of the fashion industry. Education I wouldn't get anywhere else. Ok, that's all. Happy Friday! x -C

I discovered the Instagram account @HistoryPhotographed the other day and fell in love with the account. I mean, look at those swim shorts fellas. Who wouldn't want to wear those now?

Took the 7 train to Queens yesterday evening for Brett's birthday. Walked out to a breathtaking view of the City. The meeting place was at a Korean restaurant called Sik Gaek. I was sold on the watermelon cocktail. I think we ordered about five of those for the table. When the seafood platter arrived I had no idea that the seafood would still be alive, like literally. The poor lobster was wiggling around and staring at me while it was slowly dying.

It's been a lazy Sunday morning. Weekend really. Dan introduced me to How To Make It In America. I'm officially hooked. It's fun to watch a show taking place in a city you live in. mmm ok that's all. x -C

H&M fifth ave. location Press Event launch party featuring the ballon dog handbag. My mouth dropped when the escalator reached the third floor [there are four in total]. H&M home. It's a floor full of heavenly things. Birdy was performing that night. Her voice is amazing. Hope you're enjoying your Saturday morning. x -C

Up to now? Well, firstly let me start by saying Hello, and welcome to grown up and matured "iCandi", except we can't really call this website iCandi anymore, how about just Candice. You're more than welcome to call me C. So, I moved to New York City from Toronto, Canada last August. It's now the end of July, which means a couple more weeks and it's been a year. Crazy how time flies.

I am a textile surface designer in her 20's trying to absorb and learn as much as I possibly can. My passion is to create. Whether that be taking photos, making videos, painting, talk to you, designing, or sketching. I'm still trying to figure it all out, but saying 'yes' to every opportunity presented has brought me to places I didn't know existed. Let's just say it's been an adventure. I met Dan out one night in Brooklyn. The moment he told me he was from the Jersey Shore, I laughed and immediately thought of 1. the reality show, and 2. I wonder if he has an accent. Like is it Coffee or Cawfee, water or watta. 

I opened my eyes a couple months later with a slight hangover from the night before. I wasn't in New York City, but in the State of New Jersey and It was july 4th weekend. Dan was ordering Pork Rolls for the boating adventure to F Cove, and I was quietly sipping on my coffee patiently waiting for my hangover to subside. In my older years I've developed slight motion sickness. For instance, every time I fly I now get nauseous when landing. it's ridiculous if you ask me. So, hangover + boat rides = no fun.

My July 4th weekend of F Cove, the boating adventure, and the Jersey Shore was just awesome. So awesome I just got back from there this weekend. Oh, and for the record, Dan says "water" with a hard a, there's a slight accent with Cawfee, and when he drinks enough alcoholic beverages "over there", durns into Pauly D's "Cabs are here" accent. Haha, he's going to kill me for that.
