// JILL STUART

Lately it's been straight hair, heels, black and red lips. Fall is here : ) Above are my favourite looks from Jill Stuart's Fall '14 runway. Love the long jackets paired with knit. And how amazing is that fur/leather combo. LOVE. Gimmie gimmie.

// CONNECTICUT

// CONNECTICUT

Connecticut is as beautiful as it sounds. Danbury is where we were. Dan and I took the train up to his bro's home Friday. He golfed, I pumpkin picked. It was so lovely. The town they live in is incredibly beautiful.

We ended the day with Jay, Beyonce, No Doubt, Carrie Underwood and Central Park. It was my first concert in Central Park actually. Hearing Jay sing New York, New York in New York City was pretty awesome. Ahh, just a Toronto girl trying to make her way in the big bad city. So far this journey has been pretty incredible.

Happy Sunday x -C

// OUTTAKES

// OUTTAKES

Hello! Good morning Friday. Man this week flew by really fast. Here are outtakes from my shoot the other night at Maman Cafe + Bakery in Soho. I'll be back on the press/opening day so there will be more photos coming! Can't wait to show you where my textile prints will be showing!

mm that's all. x -C

// MAMAN

// MAMAN

It's one thing to slave away on Photoshop with flowers and repeats and tile patterns and 11 hour painting sessions just to realize the colours are completely off and then of course Photoshop takes forever to load and then it decides to shut down on you and then you realize you forget to save the 10 hours of work you just put in, and then... The true realities of textile design. The highlight - seeing it printed on fabric and packaging in the cutest cafe in Soho. Maman will be opening in the next couple weeks. I got a sneak peek of the space yesterday as they asked me to take some shots of the space for media. I have to tell you, it really does look like a photo right out of a Pinterest board. I can't wait for it all to come together. I'll have photos up/information of the Launch soon!

// FAV NYC SPOTS #2

// THE CUPPING ROOM

The story of The Cupping Room began four years ago when my girlfriend Sandra was modeling in New York City. I was thinking about exploring the world of art directing, so she suggested I join her in a 7 Up shoot. She introduced me to one of her photographer friends, the incredible David Drebin, and I worked up the courage to ask him for coffee. He told me to meet him at the Cupping Room on the corner of West Broadway and Broome.

The conversation we had I'll never forget. Some of his advice I didn't agree with, but I understand why he gave it to me now that I live here. Ahh and I remember my outfit perfectly. I had bangs back then, I had my hair up in a high pony, bright blue blazer, baggy jeans, runners and my Dee & Ricky lego heart brooch. The first thing he said to me was that I looked too innocent for New York City.

Anyways, after that whenever Tina and I would go to New York for one of her Lawyer things we would always make sure to have breakfast at The Cupping Room. Funny enough, I literally live four blocks away from it now.

The best brunch in Soho.

p.s. It's Wednesday, which means new horoscopes! x -C

// FARRAH SELFIES

// EVENING SELFIES

Selfies with Farrah lately. I've been wearing the brooch more now that it's fall weather. She's lookin' tremendous with the black blazers and heavy scarves. Speaking of Fall, it's the first day of fall isn't it? Can't wait for Central Park leaf changing strolls.

It's so funny to think about what I was doing this time last year when I first moved to NYC. Nine hour studio classes spent painting/frustrated because I didn't know what I was doing/tired/frustrated because I didn't know what I was doing/painting/getting lost in New York. Well, I still get lost in New York. Ha, ok time for me to get moving. Happy Tuesday x - C

// WEDDING DAY

I got home from work yesterday feeling slightly homesick. I have the best family in the world. Yup, better than yours. I'm kidding. But really, I have an awesome fam who are all back in Toronto. Thought I would post a throw back to Tina and David's wedding day. I took this footage with my iPhone and my favourite video app. This video opens with my charming little bro.

Alright, time to get dressed. It's Mondayyyyy. Happy new week. x -C

// WORKSHOP

// WORKSHOP

Sundays in the workshop. My bed. I'm working on some new pieces to add to the collection. I love the mix of heavy metal and refined minimalism. I've learned you can achieve shimmer and sparkle by mixing rose gold, silver and gold to a simple piece. The Farrah Brooch has that effect when I wear it with a simple outfit. I'll have outfit examples on ways to wear the Farrah Brooch soon : )

I'm excited to show you what i've been working on. All will be revealed when I shoot the lookbook for Farrah and the new pieces.  Anyways, here's a small sneak peek into what's to come.

How have you been? How's the weekend? Sunday has come too soon. Dan and I went to watch Boy Hood last night. Loved loved it. The concept of the movie is incredible. You watch the cast literally grow up in front of your eyes. I highly recommend it if you're searching for a movie. Alright, that's all. x -C

// SAN GENNARO

// SAN GENNARO

Walk to the corner of Prince and Mulberry and you'll find at least 7-8 blocks of fun things. Delicious food, fun games, bags and jewelry [I bought a pair of gold hoops] and, then some more fun games and food. Dan I got there around 10 pm and it was packed. I love New York - no matter what the night or the time it's always busy.

Eyes are slowly closing, it's bed time for me. Talk to you tomorrow! x -C
