Date night with the man last night. We started at a new restaurant in the West Village called Cafe Clover. Sort of had the same vibe as Cafe Colette in Toronto. We ended our night at Little Branch, one of my favourite speakeasys. No Jazz on Fridays though [totally lame] so we had one delicious cocktail and called it a night. Happy weekend. x-C

Picture this blown up as wallpaper for your accent wall, paired with decor that consists of a mix of metals, dark blue or hints of fuchsia pink as your accent color, a rustic tufted brown leather Restoration Hardware-esque couch, hold rustic treasure chess as your coffee table, with a sheet of glass layered on top of it. Ok stopping. But really just imagine. Looks pretty sick doesn't it.
// INTERVIEWS
It's weird to me that people are interested in my work. Every time I see a repost of someone holding a Maman Cup or "love this" under artwork posted on my instagram - instant smiles. Never mind the emails of "let's get a photoshoot and interview down on the calendar". Most recently I've been asked "What can we expect from your new collection" [which is launching May 5th]. I couldn't help but smile before answering the question. I wonder if it's because I've taught myself to keep my head down, do work that I like and not worry about what everyone else is doing that I didn't notice everyone that was looking.
Firstly hello to all my new readers. Thanks for stopping by and clicking through my story. Secondly, how do you like the way I do interviews? Big smiles, and big hair. This is an outtake from our [Elisa and I's] interview with Preserve.us. I've been having fun with all the new adventures taking place in my life. I promise to keep smiling and produce intelligent work. Alright, that's all. I hope you're keeping warm on this snowy day. x -C

Hi! Above is from earlier this morning - a 6 am call time with the Preserve.us team and Elisa. Early yes, but totally worth the fun and there really isn't anything coffee can't fix. Elisa [co-owner of Maman NYC] and I are will be doing a series of features with Preserve! You can expect Elisa's delicious recipes, watercolor flowers, and photos of me that make it look like I'm an amazing baker. Give me a brush and some paint and I know for sure I can whip up something pretty - hand me baking tools and you'll be sure to receive a look of confusion followed by a nervous laugh. Just a little encouragement is all I need really. Maybe a cooking class or two... or eight. I'm very excited to share everything we've been working on! I'll make sure it get it on here right when I see it.
In other news, it's Wednesday. You know what that means already though. Click here to read your horoscope. x -C

Just kidding, Dan and I were in our winter jackets while taking this photo. Going to the beach in my J Crew boots still did the trick though. Something about the smell of salt water makes life better. The shore has become my vacation land from the craziness of New York City. It's nothing like what we saw on TV people. The shore is a glorious place to be. Especially is the summer. So many fun actives - with the raddest beach vibe [that's me trying to sound like a cool surfer person]. I can't wait to slip into my bikini, sit myself down on that beach and let the sun turn my body brown. I've turned a ugly green color I'm so white.
Anyways- I hope you enjoy the day. x -C

I took this yesterday afternoon in a cafe after a weekend on the shore with Beach views. It was one of those magical snowy Sundays in New York. New York looked so peaceful. This has to be one of my favorite photos of this city since living here. It's nothing special, I mean it was taken from my iPhone. I guess I love how accurately it took compared to what this view looked like in real life. it's hard to capture a moment that looks identical to how you see it in real life.. just me? Ah the West Village, you always seem to impressive me with your handsome charm.

Beach view with our winter jackets on? I'll take it.
