// B'S DINNER PARTY

// Location: Upper West Side

Ever had watermelon with feta cheese? Well ya should. It's delicious. Last night B made dinner, I helped decorate, and we sat outside for the grand opening of her patio. Her apartment on the Upper East Side is adorable. It got me really excited for the weather to get warmer. Life is just happier when you're able to step outside without feeling like you wish you never got out of bed. Right?

// WAVES

// Collection N Fifteen

Feeling a little hazy on this Fine Thursday afternoon. Here's a little something something that i've been working on for Collection N Fifteen. I've also found a new song to listen to on repeat. OK that's all.

// DELAYED

// Location: Pearson Airport

I know better than to book with American Airlines. It's a guarantee delay. Today is racking up to about two hours. Two hours. At the moment I'm sitting at gate A7 at Pearson Airport, I have a reservation on two flights - the goal is to get on the earlier one. However I had to check luggage [brought home winter clothes] and my two flights fly into two different airports. So I need to make sure I get on the flight that matches my luggage. I'm slightly hungover from last night so a drink at the bar doesn't sound as lovely as it usually would. SO I'm sitting at the gate with my new friends. New friends because we have nothing better to do than talk about how annoying American Airlines is.

A dad and his son have been here since 6:30 am, and the poor guys look like it. Another guy is definitely drunk. His button up shirt is falling over his left shoulder and is yelling with a slur. I'm also definitely sitting beside a group a dancers. I can spot a dancer from a mile away. There's another dude who walks around with a top hat and belongs in a cartoon. It seems like life is what happens when your American Airlines flight is delayed I guess right? There's always a silver lining. Alright I'm being anti-social behind my computer, my new friends are waiting. See you soon New York. x -C

// EMBROIDERY

// Life Update:

You know that scene from the Wizard Of Oz when Dorothy is stuck in that tornado with her house spinning and she sees the wicked witch flying out of her broken window? Well that's what my life feels like at the moment. Minus the wicked witch #thankgoodness cause that's just scary. A lot of change is happening and while I'm still trying to find my balance, I've thrown myself into my work to keep my mind straight. Yesterday I had a meeting with someone who I've followed for a while on instagram. His name is Antony Rush, he's still in school and has the potential to just like dominate. So naturally I wanted inside he's creative brain. We will be collaborating on a couple really exciting things for the launch of Collection N Fifteen. Antony's non-sleep schedule due to portfolio finals definitely brought me back to life. He blew my mind with some of his ideas. And those ideas are going to take a lot of time to create and perfect. The artwork above is getting turned into embroidery :) I'm pretty stoked to see it. Let's hope after all of this madness I land on that other side of the rainbow crushing witches. A pair of sparkly red ruby slippers would be a nice addition.

Alright, that's the only update I got for you. That and new horoscopes :) Happy Wednesday guys x -C

// UPPER WEST SIDE

//

Imagine living right beside Central Park, and then imagine living in one of these beautiful homes. People in New York actually live that life. Firstly, how, and secondly, I want in. #HouseGoals

// SPRING FEELINGS

//

I like to make New Years resolutions. I also like to write a list of goals/to-do's before I leave the office Friday night and then update those goals on Monday morning. Sometimes the to-do's are simple like get eggs and milk, most of time my casual goals are "meeting with Alice Temperely and the Olsen Twins". I write goals for many different reasons but one of them is to keep me in fairytale land - real life can be a harsh place sometimes. I've come across too many people who become content and lose sight of their goals. Eventually time passes and without actively pushing towards those goals time will turn goals and dreams.

New Year resolutions are fun, but they are created in the dead of winter and you're most likely getting over all the bullshit from the year before. I like to rewrite my new year resolutions once the snow starts to melt, and the sun feels stronger on my skin. That's the true beginning for me. The flowers start to bloom, restaurants set up their tables outside, stylish New Yorkers refresh their wardrobes, everyone is smiling. As the weather starts to feel like summer I know it's time for me to put my new year resolutions to work. I'm very excited to say that yesterday I officially sent my first payment to India for Candice Kaye Design embroidery. The designs look sickkkk. I'm excited for this summer. It's going to be a different one, but sometimes different is needed in order to move forward. Com'on spring, let me see you. I'm ready. x -C
