I feel like I’ve been running on a hamster wheel since October. A very exciting hamster wheel, but it’s definitely testing my endurance. I really need to get my butt back into BOLO. Last week I was in New York to build the set of Fluffy the Musical with Francine from D’AquinoMonaco. Fluffy premieres next Monday at the Producers Club on 44th Street! I took off straight to Miami for my very first Art Basel. It was a couple days of looking at art installations, finally seeing Papi Steak in person, meeting up with clients and dressing up for fancy dinners. Sounds glorious right about now. There was a really cool vibe in Miami.

What else is going on… CKD has her very first client in LA. The LA market is one I’ve been wanting to tap into for a while now. It’s a start :) Really excited about it. Rustic wallpaper is definitely coming back. Building it from scratch is not an easy task though. The girls from Motelier Life and I are SO close with Sauble Beach’s boutique hotel’s print. Final colour and scale samples. Did I tell you I’m working on the Park Hyatt Hotel in Toronto with Studio Munge and TarTar Art Projects? The prints have been approved and are moving into sampling. Can’t wait to share!! I feel like I’m missing something but I need to run and buy paint for a mural I’m working on at the Congress Centre. Talks soon! X C OH I did! Something SUPER SPECIAL IS COMING SOON TO CB2. But I can’t say what lol. K bye

// CKD X BACARDI

//

Bacardi and I created a pop-up restaurant on Ossington. Fully functioning dinner, premium rum tasting (did you know Bacardi has a premium rum?!) all furniture and tableware by CB2, and bespoke CKD wallpaper that drifted onto the menus and coasters. LOVE the way this turned out! SO much work, but the team at Pomp PR and I pulled it off :) So happy with this! If you’re walking down Ossington take a look! Photos by Elaine Fancy

oh. man. what. a. week. I can’t believe it is already end of November. HOW!! SO much is happening, and I don’t want it to stop. Maybe just for like a minute so I can rest my brain, but other than being sick and constantly tired DON’T STOP. It’s all so exciting!! My collaboration with Bacardi launches next week. We installed the Wallpaper today. Love the way this scale works in the shipping container. We are creating the perfect dining experience fully equipped with CB2 furniture, tableware and flatware. Loving the ghost chairs. I have always wanted those in my home. The entire experience has been hand picked and chosen with intention. Every single detail has not been overlooked… down to the coaster for your Bacardi cocktail. Can’t wait to share the photos and video I’ve been putting together! For now, here are some behind the scenes photos.

Side note - there is something HUGE launching in Jan-Feb at CB2. More of that coming soon as well! K back to work, just saying hi. xx C

// WHEN IT RAIN IT POURS

//

It’s 9:33 pm. I’ve been sitting in this same spot since this morning. Life picked up speed and it’s all been very exciting. Sauble Beach samples are in! A couple more tweaks and we are almost there. Have I not told you about my collaboration with Bacardi?! See that container I am posing beautifully in front of? Well we will be covering the walls with bespoke CKD wallpaper, CB2 furniture and serving delicious food & Bacardi cocktails. It’s going to be so great and coming soon to Toronto end of November! Follow along with Bacardi for more details. What else, we are covering Anomaly’s boardrooms with wallpaper. I have always wanted to do office spaces. K, can’t keep my eyes open. Going to sleep xx C

// BEHIND THE SCENES WITH DOLCE MAGAZINE

// Location: Wanderspace

Yesterday. What. A. Day. Fresh off the plane from New York feeling tired and a little sick. BUT it has been non-stop lately, so I just got to keep moving. We packed up my little studio and set up at Wanderspace. Dolce Magazine and I spent the morning shooting. I loved the way this turned out! Thank you Dolce for having me. It was such a great way to end the week. Nothing I love more than meeting cool people. Stay tuned for my interview with them!

// NEW YORK CITY

//

Finally in my own bed after just over a week in new york. I saw friends, had some great meetings, watched a lot of jazz and walked around my favourite city at the perfect time of the year. Fall in New York is magic. Oh and also I’m working on my first off broadway play as a set designer! I’m teaming up from Francine from D'AquinoMonaco. My dreams of working on a Disney set are getting closer! A week in new york has officially kicked my ass though. My body forgot what it felt like to walk up and down the stairs on and off the subway. How sad is that lol. Alright, back to work just saying hi! x C
