Dreaming about my mornings in Paris. Throw back Thursday inspiration.

My walk down Bleecker street to Dan's last night looked like this. New York kills it during the holidays. Lights and markets everywhere, the smell of Christmas trees ahh. The only thing that needs to change is all the rain we've been getting. W.tee.f winter weather, where's the snow at?
This is my life lately. The fam and I went to the Brooklyn Nets game Friday night. Clearly three days too early. Beyonce, Jay Z and the Royals Kate and Prince Will were at the game Monday night. It sucks because B would have loved me. Too bad.
It's finally time for my pom pom hat from Show Me Your Knits. I was so excited to put it on. So warm and cuddly inside. I've been spending time in Brooklyn once a week at a textile studio. It feels good to be surrounded around crazy creative people again. Artist [real artists] really are the nicest people to be around.
I'm getting excited for the new year. A fresh start is exactly what I need. 2014 has been a whirlwind of emotions for me. New York City has been an excellent teacher/mentor/friend [sometimes]. Alright alright, I'm going to stop talking now. New Horoscopes are up! Read yours here x -C

I feel like I've forgotten how to dress. I used to be so creative with my outfits. Mixing colours and prints. Maybe this whole living in New York thing has turned me into a beige/black/white/ person, or maybe because I work with so much print my wardrobe has taken a turn towards boring town. Or maybe life is waiting until I can afford to buy Alice Temperley's full collection. Then I'll look like a chic lady always covered in colourful prints. Ya, that must be the reason. Anyways, thought I would leave you with some colourful inspiration. Above are runway shots I took during the Rebecca Minkoff show. x -C

Another one of my fav spots in NYC. The Derby is located in the Lower East Side. The cutest decor, largest space [which is A + for large groups], and the best mac and cheese you'll ever eat in your existence of life. They used to have this most delicious cinnamon bun, but then they took it off the menu. It was a sad moment. Their bloody mary are also quite delicious. Obviously not as good as a caesar, American's just don't get it.
Alright, design time. x -C

I mean, just the best time of the year in this city. December 1st and New York turns into a magical land with holiday decor everywhere. My family was in town this weekend. We did everything from a basketball game in BK to drinks in a tent in Bryant Park overlooking the markets. I hope you had a good weekend! x -C

The fam is in town this weekend! Couldn't be more excited to have them here. This time there's a whole crew arriving. Baby sister included! Last night my sister Tina and I enjoyed dinner at another one of my most favourite places in New York City. Freemans. It's located in a little alley way, and filled with the cutest decor. Highly recommended for a nice dinner out. Happy TGIF! x -C

Winter chic. I mean what human can really pull that off. One minute out the door and boom frozen. It's hard to dress winter chic in New York City. I'm currently looking for the warmest boots I can find. Preferably with a rain boot on the bottom, and heavy fur stuff at the top. Here are some chic photos I took from the streets during New York Fashion Week last winter.
Pretty excited to get some street style / runway for this coming Fashion Week! Hope you're enjoying the week so far. Almost TGIF! x -C

Good morning :) My morning usually starts quite early, depending on of course how tired I feel. I'm not a morning person. For the past little while my days have been spent at a Fashion Development Company, where my hours start at 9:30 am, and end around 8 pm ish by the time I get home (new york hours). So all my designing/ creative thinking takes place early morning, weekends, or after work!
My New York schedule has made me fall in love with my 6 am wake up sessions. My most creative moments happen then. Maybe it's because my brain is too tired to go ADD on me that I'm able to focus on just one thing. Anyway this morning was one of those. I've started to paint the christmas cards! They will be on sale at the end of this week!
Ok, time to get ready, wwhat to wear.
Oh oh, and there are new horoscopes up!
