// WEEKEND VIBES

// MONTAUK

The ladies and I have started to plan our girls weekend getaway back to Montauk. I can't wait for New York summer to get here. By far the most enjoyable time of the year. Jersey weekends, Boat days, New York summer nights, killer roof tops [yes, I just said the word killer], t shirts, shorts, sandals, salt water. I'll stop there. It's still cold outside.

// ELISA AND I

// The Style Line

I love getting up at 8:30 am on a Sunday. Kidding. I didn't love the wakeup call, I did love the people I was hanging out with though. With my week days full of work at Holland & Sherry, I've been forcing everyone to meet me at ridiculous hours. Preserve.us had us meet at Maman at 6:00 am. Sorry guys. Above is a photo from last Sunday. Elisa and I met with The Style Line to talk about our friendship, our design inspiration etc. This is what our design meetings generally look like... Just not as pretty. We showered for this interview. I'm excited to see the feature come together!

Custom border design coming along nicely. My client wanted all black and white flowers on a white background. These flowers are going to up the border of her linen drapes! So excited to see it all come together.

Creative/all-your-new-ideas-suck block. It's the worst. New collection,  Number 11, launching May 5th and all I want to do it crawl up in my bed and never leave. Except for coffee refills of course. Things are starting to piece together, slowly. I know exactly how I want everything to look like, it's the time and patience needed to translate what's going on up in my head onto paper that's the frustrating part. grrrr. Even I'm excited to see how everything is going to turn out at this point! I hope you're enjoying the Monday. Sleepy side I am today. Maybe it was the time difference. Meh, 6 pm and still sunshine - sleepy doesn't sound too bad.

// WEEKEND VIBES

// Location: Little Branch

Date night with the man last night. We started at a new restaurant in the West Village called Cafe Clover. Sort of had the same vibe as Cafe Colette in Toronto. We ended our night at Little Branch, one of my favourite speakeasys. No Jazz on Fridays though [totally lame] so we had one delicious cocktail and called it a night. Happy weekend.  x-C

Picture this blown up as wallpaper for your accent wall, paired with decor that consists of a mix of metals, dark blue or hints of fuchsia pink as your accent color, a rustic tufted brown leather Restoration Hardware-esque couch, hold rustic treasure chess as your coffee table, with a sheet of glass layered on top of it. Ok stopping. But really just imagine. Looks pretty sick doesn't it.

// SMILE

// INTERVIEWS

It's weird to me that people are interested in my work. Every time I see a repost of someone holding a Maman Cup or "love this" under artwork posted on my instagram - instant smiles. Never mind the emails of "let's get a photoshoot and interview down on the calendar". Most recently I've been asked "What can we expect from your new collection" [which is launching May 5th]. I couldn't help but smile before answering the question. I wonder if it's because I've taught myself to keep my head down, do work that I like and not worry about what everyone else is doing that I didn't notice everyone that was looking.

Firstly hello to all my new readers. Thanks for stopping by and clicking through my story. Secondly, how do you like the way I do interviews? Big smiles, and big hair. This is an outtake from our [Elisa and I's] interview with Preserve.us. I've been having fun with all the new adventures taking place in my life. I promise to keep smiling and produce intelligent work. Alright, that's all. I hope you're keeping warm on this snowy day. x -C
