// NEW YORK CITY

// My walk from train to home

When it starts to get a little warmer in the city and all that winter blues start to fade away, New York livers are remided at just how cool their city is. I took this yesterday while walking home from the train station. I mean, just look at it. Dan and I were talking the other day about living in other cities. London, England to me is magic - one day I will have a little house in a small down in London, Amsterdam to Dan is beautiful, and New York City to the both of us is "bad ass" <-- his words and I agreed. It really is bad ass isn't it?

Anyways, it's Wednesday - which means new horoscopes are up! Click here to read yours. x -C

// RED

// From the studio

I have been obsessing over Dolce and Gabbana's print lately, and have decided to do a whole color way for the new collection [coming soon] around the bright reds and beautiful greens. Here is a little sneak peek in color! I hope you're enjoying the beautiful day [beautiful in terms of sun, not warmness] x-C

// WEEKEND VIBES

// Collection Eleven

Hi, happy Sunday :) Above is some artwork from the new collection. It's going to become the 'cover page' for N 11. This is generally how I work. Paint everywhere trying to find the right colour.

// PAPA POULE

// Candice Kaye Design X Papa Poule

Good morning :) Happy Thursday. Meet Maman's newest addition to Soho. I worked closely with Papa Poule on the wallpaper and custom plaid you see on the jazzed up fridge. Mmm these photos make me want some chicken.

// OUTTAKES

// Outtakes from The Style Line interview [photos: Bridget Badore]

I've never really been 'interviewed' before. Yes, I've been on TV and did the whole photo shoot thing, I've been behind the camera- in front of the camera, but never asked questions, shown my work and try to smile/ look somewhat presentable while doing it all. Firstly, I can't believe how white I am, secondly my painting face is funny looking. I never thought my cheeks were that big either. I really hope the 8 am Sunday morning call time has a lot [everything] to do with it. Bridget Badore, the photographer for the shoot, was lovely enough to send Elisa and I some extra behind the scenes photos. Thought I would share them with you. [isn't Maman Cafe beautiful looking]

Anyway, It's Wednesday which means new horoscopes are up! Read yours now!

// STYLE LINE

// Location: The Style Line

Elisa and I met with the Rachel, founder of The Style Line last Sunday morning for a 8 am shoot. My puffy eyes in the photos also will tell you it was an early Sunday morning. I really don't know why I can't look like a Kardashian in photos. Glowing angel-like skin. Rachel asked us some questions on our friendship, design collaboration, our personal inspiration and turned it into a beautifully written story.

"Perhaps the most special part of our visit with Elisa and Candice rested not only on the fact that we were able to enjoy great food and even greater company, but witnessing how their friendship translated into the cafe’s energy, firsthand."

Thank you Rachel for having us! You can read the full story here!

// PHILLY WEEKEND

//

Hi! Happy Monday. Anyone else feeling extra sleepy today [and I know you were not drinking all weekend for St.Patty's Day. Neither was I]. Dan and I went on a little road trip to Philly to hang out with some of his friends from college. I loved walking through the old and narrow streets. Very European like. Definitely nice to get out of the city for a weekend. This weather is at that ugly in-between stage. Too cold to be spring, not cold enough for the big winter jacket. I'm ready to move right into Spring weather [who isn't]. I need a tan asap and a patio on a beautiful roof top over looking this beautiful city.
