// JERSEY WEEKENDS

// Location: Jersey Shore

There's no better feeling than coming back to New York City after a weekend away, but there's also no better feeling than getting out of the city to views like this. I can't believe summer is coming to an end. The fastest two months of the year. Rachel came down to the shore with Dan and I this weekend. She fell just as hard as a I did for this place. It's hard not to. It's been my vacation spot for the past two summers now. My magical escape from the craziness of New York filled with boat days, incredible people, salt water, beaches, and Dan in swim shorts [star eyes]. I took video footage throughout the weekend! Hopefully get a video together later this week. Happy Monday. x -C

// PALM VIBES

Good morning Friday :) Last night Britt and I had a much needed girl time FaceTime. It ain't easy living here without my best friends. I don't care what anyone says, there is no better night spent than with your girlfriends. Amiright? Anyway, thank god it's Friday because it's been one of those weeks. You know when everything seems to go wrong, and then that wrongness turns into a domino effect of more wrongness. I was in mid vent when Britt told me to buy her new secret book called "magic". Naturally the name had me sold already. This book is about thanking and appreciating all the big and small things in your life. Each chapter is different, with different lessons. Ok, I'm explaining this totally wrong, but it sounds awesome and right up my alley. I'm buying this for my train ride down to the shore this weekend. I need a little more magic in my life. Inpso for the new Fall '15 collection. To kick off this magic weekend, I'm loading myself with images that make me happy. Like this Palm print from ckd summer collection. I'm imagining myself in my beach home, sipping on my coffee while looking out to the ocean surrounded by this print. Feels good :) Alright, happy weekend guys! Talk to you Monday. x -C

// MARTINI IN MY HAND

// Location: Miami

So, I just read my horoscope and it couldn't be more accurate. According to Cal, Cancers "... could really use a trip to Tahiti." I'm so ready to bail out of all this work and escape to an island and sit myself down on a beach chair, wear nothing but a swim suit, hear nothing but ocean, and see nothing but ocean, and go to bed early, and wake up early to make sure I get the best sun, and maybe take up surfing lessons because I've always wanted to be a surf babe, and think of nothing other than whether or not I've put enough sun screen on. Instead, I'm stuck in this sticky heat of New York summer, cooling myself off with my air conditioner and exhausted from not enough time in my day. Life of luxury people. I'll daydream in the meantime... of miami because I've never been to Tahiti. x -C

// BLUE ROOTS TEA

// Candice Kaye Design for Blue Roots Tea

It's here! The ladies of Blue Roots Tea approached me a while ago for a custom ckd print for their packaging. Andddd voila! Graphic Designer Michelle Bajurny was behind all the graphic design. It looks incredible. Couldn't be more excited. Blue Roots Tea is now sold at the brand new @DRINKjuice_co in Toronto! Congrats ladies. x -C

// PIRATE SHIP

Magic pirate ships and floating flowers, this toile is almost complete. Looks like the Fall' 15 Collection N Twelve will be launching sooner than I thought [happy dance].

// WEEKEND VIBES

// Location: Citi Field

I put the computer away this weekend, regardless of the fact that I have loads of work to get done. Sometimes - almost always - that's needed. I started my weekend off with no set alarm and stay-in-bed-until-my-second-cup-of-coffee-is-finished kind of morning. It was glorious. Dan and I ended our Saturday night off with the Mets, and Ne-Yo, who had a secret performance after the game. That guy really does have a lot of hits. At around 1 am we arrived at our stop and into what seemed like another era. The train on the platform across from us looked like it belonged in the 1920's. Old New York was so much cooler. Happy Monday x -C
