Whenever I start a new collection I open old scrapbooks and scope out old notes I scribbled down to see if they would have any relevance to right now. Most don't, but I've used old sketches and updated them - the Palm print from the ckd summer collection comes from an old sketch actually. Anyways, I'm working on a bunch of new things which requires every single thing that I've done to be pulled out of the archives. I found this from the Feb 5th - the in-the-making of Collection N Eleven. It really helps to write everything down.

I did a test print on gift wrapping paper and the quality came out beautifully. So I put them all into production. All Collection N Twelve will be available. Can you imagine each print stacked on top of each other and tied with a bow? How delicious. Most stylish gift wrap I've ever seen. Very excited to get this into your hands. Available soon! x -C

 A multi-million dollar company that started from eBay and a personality that makes me what to find her in LA and suggest we become friends. It has taken me a while to find a new book. I'm usually in the mood for a love story that leaves me crying by the end of it. A lot of change has been going on in my life lately, so I was looking for something that will keep me in the right mindset. It's hard to constantly motivate yourself, especially when you're the only one who can see your goals. That's when I stumbled upon Sophia Amoruso's instagram. The founder of Nasty Gal, and a feed that made me say "cool" out loud. A couple scrolls down I found out of her book, read a couple pages on Amazon saw the word "bullshit" and hit "order". This isn't a book about how to start your own business, or how to dress, thank god, it's about a woman who got a job as a security guard checking ID's at a school because she found a hernia and needed health insurance to get it cured. She's street smarted her way through eBay selling vintage clothing and was making more in a week than I do in a month, and then turned her eBay business into a international success all before 30. What interests me about this story is that it's possible and not crazy and there is proof. Finding Sophia was the perfect case of Serendipity. If you're in the looks for something similar to this I highly recommend getting it. #GirlBoss Happy Monday! x -C

I can't believe it's been just over a year since Candice Kaye Design launched. Actually I can, so much has happened since - and I'm feeling like it's time for another change. It's time to revamp, clean up, and take huge risks into the unknown. Candice Kaye Design has a new set of goals that are yet to be met. Very excited to share this new transformation with you. In the next three months you can expect some changes ;) These photos are a collection taken from the "Meet Candice" section of this website. I'm in the process of making a new "About" section and it's looking and sounding really different. It light of all this change and transformation - new horoscopes are up.
