// THE SETTING

// thesettingnyc.com

For those that know me know shopping for groceries is probably one of my least favourite activities. I would prefer to cook with all of the ingredients already magically in front of me. The act of cooking - I don't mind. I can make a really good salmon, stir fry, and moroccan chicken. Anything beyond that, well you can make it yourself. Kidding kidding. Anyway I sat down with The Setting to talk about how I entertain. Preferably with Amanda's products. Amanda is the master mind behind the setting, and besides the fact that she is drop dead gorgeous she makes everything by hand... Read the full interview here! Thanks for having me The Setting!

// HIT THE GROUND RUNNING

//

There's a lot of change going on in Candice Kaye Design land. You can expect a new website coming soon, new product, a new collection, and a whole new company that's in the works. It's go-time and I'm going to need a lot of coffee. In the meantime, there are new horoscopes up! Click Click. x-C

// HIGH RISE

// Levis

I've been living out of suitcases for the last little while #longstory - in the mist of all of this suitcase living I've given away bags of clothes. I pretty much hate all of my clothes and am in need a wardrobe makeover. First purchase were these Levis. Classic color, classic high rise that go with everything. No this isn't a sponsored post - wouldn't mind if it was. Alright, that's all. Happy Monday x -C

// NEW YORK LIGHT

// Upper West Side

Oh hey and hello Friday. Don't let this photo fool you - I threw this hat on my head because there was no room in my bags, I'm sweating - like a lot from carrying luggage, and all of the makeup has melted off my face. So naturally I took a photo, the 7 pm light was too good. I'm currently sitting cross legged surrounded by 1 million pillows in a beautiful home in TriBeca. I don't plan on moving either. Except maybe to refill my coffee. Loads of work to get done, and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. Perfect way to lean into the weekend. Have a drink for me x-C

// B'S DINNER PARTY

// Location: Upper West Side

Ever had watermelon with feta cheese? Well ya should. It's delicious. Last night B made dinner, I helped decorate, and we sat outside for the grand opening of her patio. Her apartment on the Upper East Side is adorable. It got me really excited for the weather to get warmer. Life is just happier when you're able to step outside without feeling like you wish you never got out of bed. Right?

// WAVES

// Collection N Fifteen

Feeling a little hazy on this Fine Thursday afternoon. Here's a little something something that i've been working on for Collection N Fifteen. I've also found a new song to listen to on repeat. OK that's all.

// DELAYED

// Location: Pearson Airport

I know better than to book with American Airlines. It's a guarantee delay. Today is racking up to about two hours. Two hours. At the moment I'm sitting at gate A7 at Pearson Airport, I have a reservation on two flights - the goal is to get on the earlier one. However I had to check luggage [brought home winter clothes] and my two flights fly into two different airports. So I need to make sure I get on the flight that matches my luggage. I'm slightly hungover from last night so a drink at the bar doesn't sound as lovely as it usually would. SO I'm sitting at the gate with my new friends. New friends because we have nothing better to do than talk about how annoying American Airlines is.

A dad and his son have been here since 6:30 am, and the poor guys look like it. Another guy is definitely drunk. His button up shirt is falling over his left shoulder and is yelling with a slur. I'm also definitely sitting beside a group a dancers. I can spot a dancer from a mile away. There's another dude who walks around with a top hat and belongs in a cartoon. It seems like life is what happens when your American Airlines flight is delayed I guess right? There's always a silver lining. Alright I'm being anti-social behind my computer, my new friends are waiting. See you soon New York. x -C

// EMBROIDERY

// Life Update:

You know that scene from the Wizard Of Oz when Dorothy is stuck in that tornado with her house spinning and she sees the wicked witch flying out of her broken window? Well that's what my life feels like at the moment. Minus the wicked witch #thankgoodness cause that's just scary. A lot of change is happening and while I'm still trying to find my balance, I've thrown myself into my work to keep my mind straight. Yesterday I had a meeting with someone who I've followed for a while on instagram. His name is Antony Rush, he's still in school and has the potential to just like dominate. So naturally I wanted inside he's creative brain. We will be collaborating on a couple really exciting things for the launch of Collection N Fifteen. Antony's non-sleep schedule due to portfolio finals definitely brought me back to life. He blew my mind with some of his ideas. And those ideas are going to take a lot of time to create and perfect. The artwork above is getting turned into embroidery :) I'm pretty stoked to see it. Let's hope after all of this madness I land on that other side of the rainbow crushing witches. A pair of sparkly red ruby slippers would be a nice addition.

Alright, that's the only update I got for you. That and new horoscopes :) Happy Wednesday guys x -C
