// BALI'S DAY OF SILENCE

// Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud

I hate arriving in a new city late at night. You see nothing and after a six hour flight from Melbourne we were left with two options; the first to order room service and go to bed, the second to get dressed and find a restaurant in town. Since Bali was a short stay Ashley and I decided we should find a restaurant. We hopped in Putu's taxi happy to feel the strong tropical heat cover our bodies, well at least I was. That's when he told us we arrived just in time for Bali's day of silence. Which started the night we arrived and would end the following day at 6 am. Room service it was. The entire island shuts down for day of silence. We were unable to leave our hotel or keep the lights on after 6 pm. I've never experienced anything like it. The rest of the adventure was not so silent. I fell so in love with this place. The people, the vibes, the beaches, the food, the sacred monkeys, the surfers. We spent a full day at Finns on a day bed overlooking the ocean. I spent the majority of that day accidentally burning my skin and watching the surfers. I can see myself coming back here for months at a time. It's just a happy place to be. I'm currently sitting in the Hong Kong airport as I write this. I'm finishing up an eleven hour layover. Surprised I survived it actually. In 16 hours I'll be back in the studio gearing up for the Microsoft x Gelaskins launch, wallpaper going up in Lower East Side, and Collection N Twenty Five has already started coming to life in my head. Excited to get working. See you in the studio. x -C

// HELLO FROM AUS

// Location: St. Ali coffee, South Melbourne

I'm pretty sure I've consumed enough coffee this past week to last me an entire month. It's just so good here. I've traded my classic Americano for a flat white. I drink my coffee black yet milk has never tasted so good. I'm currently sitting in a cafe somewhere in South Melbourne. It's close to the beach which I plan on walking to and parking myself for the rest of this lovely Saturday. Rain or shine - there's a 30% chance of showers. Australia has made it's way into my heart. Ash and I have felt like we just slipped right in seamlessly. It has the city, which is filled with effortlessly cool cafe and bars. But also has the beach which is filled with true surfers and beautiful beach towns.

The Daily Eatery is open and ready for business. Nemo Li took Ash and I around Sydney. We started with lunch and ended with dinner before catching our flight back to Melbourne. It's all pretty surreal - I was in Sydney, Australia having dinner with my client. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever think that was possible. Nemo Li is also the coolest, of course. A young entrepreneur pushing boundaries and taking chances that only few would have the guts to do. My kind of people.

I decided a while ago that I would devote my life to traveling the world creating networks of people that constantly force me to grow and think bigger. That plan is slowly coming together and it's happening all before my eyes. For the first time ever I wish time would slow down. I want to make sure that I take this all in. x -C

// SURFACE BOOK

//

I've fallen in love. The Microsoft Surface Book has a program called Sketchable that has introduced me to a new painting technique. One that would take me hours to learn with photoshop brushes. This entire print was created on Sketchtable. I've created four designs for the Microsoft x GelaSkins collab this is one of them. Stay tuned to see how we're going to use them! Also iPhone cases, computer cases, Samsung cases, with already made ckd collections are all coming soon. Also also have you heard the new Ed Sheeran album? On repeat all morning. So far fav songs are Dive and Barcelona. k bye. x -C

// COFFEE IN THE MORING

// Lately

Photos from the past two weeks. Alex's bday spent at a dreamy chalet with my people. I picked up the contact sheets from Ilich. Making selections as I type this. And I've been collaborating with Interior Designer Kate Thornley-Hall on some fun projects. Below are samples of our first wallpaper collaboration. I leave for Australia this week! I'm sure I'll talk to you before then, but if not - see you in Aus. x -C

// MICROSOFT

//

When Microsoft introduced me to their newest Surface Book and program called Sketchable, I have to admit I was sceptical. I'm an Apple gal always have been. That was until Thursday night. It was a cold and rainy night in New York, I had an order of Tacos delivered to my door, and I was curled up on the couch wearing oversized sweatpants catching up on my Real Housewives. The perfect collection of my favourite things on a rainy night. I stared at my Surface Book for a good ten minutes before picking it up. I detached the screen and opened Sketchable. Guys, I've discovered a whole new way of painting. I spent the majority of my weekend practicing, making mistakes, and then starting over. Microsoft and I will be working on some fun new thingggsss coming soon and a lot of these new things will be showcasing this new discovery of magic painting. Stay tuned! x-C

// WAKE UP

//

I was up at 6:00 am Saturday morning to catch the famous sunrise down at the East River. A bucket list thing I never got around to do. Good thing I checked the weather. Nothing but fog. New York was so quiet. With the disappearing Manhattan bridge and Brooklyn completely covered it almost felt like a dream. It's funny, I knew for a fact when the fog would lift I would be able to see Brooklyn. I didn't need to see it that morning to believe it was there, I just knew. The true meaning of faith. If only I had such faith in my own foggy future. Dreams would instantly become less scary to reach simply because I'd be certain I would attain them. Who knew - a trip to the East River to see the sunrise ended with an Uber home with a life lesson. K, bedtime. x -C

// NEW YORK

//

I'm sitting in an oversized T drinking coffee and watching Keeping Up With The Kardashians as I wait for my hair to dry. I forgot my hair dryer. It's a beautiful day in New York today, the kind of weather that makes you fall in love with this city all over again. There are a lot of fun things happening this week, fun things I can start telling you about in a month or so! Ok, one more sip of coffee then it's time for makeup. Happy weekend! x -C

// STUDIO WEEKENDS

//

A new CKD design freshly printed on the dark wood flip tables. A hand painted bee for a custom rug I'm working on with Kate. A collaboration with Microsoft's newest Surface Book in the works. So much work to get done. So many things are coming. So many hours to go.
