New York has changed. And it took me a couple days to get reacquainted. I was going on the wrong subways, and getting off at the wrong stops. Everything looks so different with the restaurants falling onto sidewalks. I just love it all, it’s like falling in love with a new boyfriend. Here are some photos of the past couple days. Planta’s new speakeasy Dragon’s Den just opened - I love the way it turned out! I finished Fig19’s new watercolour zebra banquettes during the pandemic, this was my first time seeing them in person. It’s a fun upgrade to the space I love them. I miss being on the go, my legs are so confused! I’m not used to walking so much. Elisa set the table with our Petals Linen Friday morning for breakfast. That woman is so talented it’s not even normal. Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

Just over a year in the making and LA based designer’s bonVIVANT Interiors and CKD have officially launched our wallpaper capsule collection. The collection is printed on our beautiful luxe linen wallpaper. All four prints are inspired by the aesthetic of bonVIVANT Interior founder’s Dana and Rachel mixed with CKD’s signature hand painted style, play with scale and fun layouts. Every single one of these prints have my heart. Nothing like LA vibes to begin the summer of what feels like real freedom. oh MAN, it’s been a lot of a lot lately. One of my personal journeys over the past two years has been moving closer to my truth, only operating from a space that is authentic to me. I have learned a lot about myself by shining a light on my shadows, insecurities, and shortcomings. It’s been difficult at times but God has gifted me with incredible people who have not only been there, but listened without judgement. The journey never ends, I am constantly finding out more things about myself and in return accepting myself for all the wrongs that are actually so right, and all of the insecurities that are actually so beautiful.

“You can’t be what you can’t see” -Marian Wright Edelman , the clearer you see and trust yourself the more grounded you become. The work I have done on myself has trickled into how I run my business, how I would like to run my team in the future, and how I see the woman I want to be. Life is feeling sweeter, and I am thankful everyday for the best friends & family I have around me. Thankful for the opportunities presenting themselves, and for the clients who believe in CKD

What is divine feminine power? What does it feel like, and when I find it how do I use it? A couple questions I have been asking myself lately. I can see and feel the masculine energy within me. I see him when I’m working, when I’m networking, and pushing within my business. The masculine energy within me is external, active and forceful energy. All the things we are taught to be within the workforce or to get what you want in life. You must be fearless and take chances. Energies I know are necessary, but are they all the time? Lately life has been teaching me otherwise. There needs be a balance. I am learning to activate my divine feminine. Feminine energy is a quiet power. It is purposeful, a healing power that is in the present moment. It’s a deep knowing and moves us into a state of love and compassion, and creates space for other energies. Feminine energy is the source to healing. It is where we meet our whole self. The ego wants to distract us with desires, demands and worries. Sitting with our feminine energy is sitting with ourself at the purest form. Here we know the answers, or are able to move through difficult times with grace. It is presence and power combined in one. Sounds beautiful doesn’t it? I’ve been sitting with myself and this a lot lately, and the present moment has started to become a constant, and life is feeling just a little bit sweater. Operating through life is both feminine and masculine, it’s mastering the balance of the two that brings pure joy. Anyways, here are a couple photos of lately.
