I love when I'm asked where I'm from, the conversation goes something like this: me: "Toronto", them: Blank stare, me: "Toronto...Canada", "ahhh wow. That's so far". Not really, believe it or not it's only a hour flight away. We then proceed to have a small conversation about how a friend of a friend of theirs went to Montreal once or twice. I had this conversation this morning while ordering my Americano at my regular coffee shop, and it got me thinking of Montreal and how much I miss it. Montreal, old port, is the cutest and quickest getaway for us Torontoians. It feels like Europe with it's late night dinner culture and zero judgment on how many cocktails you consume. The resturants also turn into the party afterwards as the tables get pushed back and the music gets a little louder. Montreal has been an annual destination for the ladies and I. I can't wait to open one of my many Candice Kaye Design boutiques there. My vision for my boutiques will take place in an old home, with each floor decorated in Candice Kaye Design magic.
