// SMITH & MILLS

Smith & Mills is another one of those ny gems I walked into years ago, fell in love and then totally forgot the name of once I got back to the hotel. Isn't that the story of all hidden ny gems? At night they always look so different don't they? I remember walking into Smith & Mills late night like four years ago and thinking to myself, "this is the chicest place ever". It looked like literally a hole in the wall from the outside. In day light, totally different. The cocktails are just as delicious as I remember.

Walking through the streets of the West Village to views like this makes all this hustle worthwhile. It really is an incredible city. It's incredible how it has the power to make me feel like literally anything is possible one day, to the most exhausted I have ever been in my life the next day, to my happiest moments, the most rewarding city, and then instantly change to a city I want to desperately escape. Eh, at least it keeps me on my toes.

I've been wearing Farrah a lot lately. The Fall weather is dressing me in big comfy sweaters. And I'm loving it. Alright, that's all. Hope you're enjoying the day!

// OPENING DAY

// MAMAN CAFE 239 CENTRE ST, NY

As I was running around taking photos yesterday at the newly opened Maman Cafe in Soho, I couldn't help but smile every time I took a photo of one of those coffee cups. The design process is really fun, but there is nothing like seeing a finished project. I went in early yesterday before the media brunch to help get everything ready, and it was just so cool to watch all of their hard work come to life. Chef was yelling "10 Minutes" [with a French accent], Ben was yelling "let's go" [also in a French accent], and Elisa was running around getting all the little details perfect. I love their story and how all the stars just sort of aligned perfectly. You can read their story here [in the freshly published New York Times article!] I think this is a start of something really special for them. Can't wait to see what they come up with next.

Click here to see all the prints!

I hope you had a fab weekend!

// THE CHIC MOM

//

I found these photos off of Garance Dore.com [shockingly]. High five to the chic moms, and I want that extra long sleeve top. There is nothing I enjoy more than a shirt that goes past my hands. AmI righhttt?

// BUNNIES

It's finally here! Sunday is the media brunch and Monday is the opening of the cutest cafe + bakery in Soho. Working with Elisa and Ben on this project made me realize that just about anything can happen if you work hard enough. Elisa sent me a photo last night of the finalized to-go coffee cups, and they each have one of my prints on them. It's pretty wild. Can't wait to show you the finished product! x -C

// BEHIND THE SCENES

// MY MORNING

A little behind the scenes from my AM post location in my little Greenwich Village apartment. I've developed a morning routine over my years of blogging. Open lids - coffee - shower - sit in towel while I talk to you - eventually get my life together and get dressed. Or lately I've been putting my makeup on while sipping on my coffee with my computer open beside me. Between every application, I'll take breaks and talk to you. Mmm that's all. x -C

// SPEAKING OF...

// HOROSCOPE WEDNESDAY

Speaking of iCandi Hats, I found this photo on Grarance Dore.com and was like woah, if only one day I can look as cool in a iCandi Hat as her. Check out that mad suspender swag.

Its Wednesday. Check out your horoscope here!

// ICANDI HAT

// ICANDI HAT

It's officially fall which means it's officially iCandi Hat weather. This hat all started about two/three years ago. I remember I was sitting in my room in the R Hill, most likely arranged in my usual set up; Sketch Book open, Design Books scattered everywhere, Computer open to Pinterest, surrounded by 7 pillows etc etc, and I came across Natalie Off Duty, a New York based designer. I fell in love/slightly jealous with 1. her style 2.her style and 3. her living in New York City. I pretty much was like 'ok, what can I take from her sick ass style... I'm not as skinny as she is... and bohemian never looked good on me'. That's when I walked into Zara and found a black hat, that looked identical to one of hers. I wore that hat literally everyday until I had to throw it away at the end of last winter because it started to look vintage. But like, not good vintage.

My friends and fams started to comment on the hat [because they saw how much I wore it] and I got the idea to name it. I'm currently working on a collaboration with a fab designer in New York to make the perfect iCandi Hat. It just kinda became a thing. And I'm kinda liking it.

Just a little sneak peek. Updates to come!

That's all. x -C
