I moved to LA just over a year ago, for three years before that I was constantly going back and forth from Toronto, staying in Airbnbs across different neighborhoods until I eventually landed by the beach. Silver Lake always felt cool, a little Brooklyn-like, full of busy restaurants and great stores.
When my friend Tyler told me about Somme by Francesca Grace, I was excited. Francesca is an interior designer and stager here in LA, and her taste is truly what made me fall in love with her world. She opened her store on Sunset Blvd, Somme, which feels like a true extension of her. It’s beautiful inside. Cozy, thoughtful.
We collaborated on a wallpaper and fabric collaboration, The Heirloom Collection. A shift from what I’ve done in the past, which was fun and speaks to all of the many reasons as to why I love bespoke. Hand-painted watercolor florals layered with stripes, softened by sage green and pale blue textured grounds.
