// THIS WAS NEVER JUST ABOUT TEXTILES

//

I’ve always been drawn to the way Virgil Abloh and Pharrell Williams built their careers. It was never about staying in one lane it was always one system.

Virgil moved from architecture to graphic design to fashion to furniture to music. Pharrell moved from music into fashion, product, and cultural direction. Different mediums, same language. For me, textiles were always the entry point the door that opened everything else. Wallpaper, fabrics, rugs… that was just the beginning.

I’m not interested in stopping there. Furniture is next. Our collaboration with AFC Toronto pushed my work into sport. A jersey became another surface but this time, it moved. And beyond that music, scent, taste. It all connects.

Moving to Los Angeles opened me up to entirely new worlds new people, new ways of thinking, new perspectives on what a practice can be. It clarified something I had always felt: this was never just about textiles. It’s about building a world and everything that can exist within it. The only limitation is not seeing that it does, and choosing to stay inside a box that was never meant to hold you.

Some photos of life lately. x C
